    Hi all,

I'm gathering up parts for my '36 Ford pickup build and have been looking for a front end for it. I can't seem to find an ibeam front end. I was wondering what my options were or where I can find an ibeam front. I don't want to go with the a-arm setup.

    Thanks in advance.

Keep after the parts section in the HAMB cl***ifieds...you'll almost certainly be able to score a '36 frontend there.

Post a want add here in the cl***ifides, someone within driving distance may have all you need. I have parts if you don't mind the shipping.

  5. Try advertising in the newsletter for the local chapter of the Early Ford V8 Club (national is earlyfordv8.org). I can't speak for the local clubs but usually an ad is a no cost thing since it benefits their members. Something like a front end is expensive to ship and you need local. PM me if you need contact numbers. Be sure to catch the "Big Three" swap meet in San Diego in February. One final thought, I ***ume Orange County is the Orange County in California but you didn't say.

those axles are so easy to find that I suspect you are very young. Or maybe too impatient. Look under every old home-made trailer you see. I've never even thought about counting my V8 axles but I did count 19 front Model A axles and 34 rears one time and thats not all of them. Get an employee at the s**** yard to watch for you--give him a picture so he knows what they look like

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll throw an ad under the wanted.

I'll have to update my location to Orange County, CA. Lol

You're in Orange County Ca and can't find Hot Rod parts? Really? I would bet, with enough cash in your pocket, and a trip through the local Craigslist you could have everything you need by sun down.

Hell this first one is pretty much everything you need. I found it and I'm on the other coast!

I'm inclined to believe that he isn't quite sure exactly what he is looking for.
Most of us know that you either find a complete unit like Muffman58 offered up or you find it one piece at a time at swap meets or the cl***ifieds or from vendors new. Now thanks to Muffman58's photos he has a better handle on what a stock unit looks like.

I know what I'm looking for, I just haven't had any luck finding a complete front axle. I wanted to avoid pie wing it together if possible, but it looks like I may have to go that route. I want to try to keep my build on a low budget and finish it within a year or year and a half.

    Thanks for the help gents
