So ive been pursuing a pile of 32 ford coupe bodies/parts etc etc and had gotten work that the owner is ready to sell. So a trip was planned around June and i knew i needed to come up with some money so i started a Model A tudor project, i got the car set up and gave it a good look and ended up selling it pretty fast, well i had the money and we were ready to go, then the trip got cancelled, so i had a couple bill to get caught up on so i spent some of the money and put the rest aside for when we would be able to get over and get the bodies. so another trip was planned so i need to raise some cash again. i started bolting together a 26/7 roadster pick up, got it close to the stage of the tudor before and maybe a bit further, and put it to up for sale, i had alot of interest but no sale, around the time i started building the T i heard about an auction with a few 32 tudor bodies at it, so i trip to the auction was planned. we got there and me and a buddy when in on buying a couple of the 32 bodies so i had spent the rest of the money from the A tudor build, so now i really needed to sell the T project, i got back from getting the tudor and an interested party ended up drving out a day later and bought it so again i was in the clear and ready to buy the 32s, well guess what......the trip got pushed back agin:mad: what can you do. So now were at the present time, i have been holding onto the money for a month or so and had been busting but on customer projects and making money etc etc, but it happened again, i spent the money again, A model A coupe had fallen in my lap and i knew it too would be a fun car to build and get it close and sell it too. So here are a few pics of the projects i have going, and of the cars i built and sold and some stuff i bought, all period traditional stuff, ive been on that kick alot lately, oh yeah, and some wheres in between there i also ended up with an old hot rod 34 five window!

Nice projects. That is the next step, maybe several steps up the ladder from buying parts and flipping them. I've gone to swaps meets all my life and bought under valued things, flipped them and bought more in the hope of funding my car projects. Bob

The 34 5w causes tunnel vision. I simply cannot see anything else besides that thing. Too cool.

So, finally have something to add to the story.......

about two weeks ago i finally got word from Marcy that out trip was a deffinate go, and thats good because if we didnt go now it was gonna snow and wed have to postpone it again! she had picked up a couple haul jobs out that direction so it worked out good, we got most of the gas money for the trip taken care of.

So we made it to our semi-secret destination and we started looking at the 32 coupe stuff i wanted to buy and started talking about a deal with the owner, in which he procceded to say, well i still have 2 32 roadsters too.....well our interest changed pretty quickly as you dont get a chance to often to purchase henry roadster stuff anymore. So we went and looked over all the roadster stuff (these were austrailian roadsters and not totally complete but the major stuff was there) and ended up striking a deal for them both. and made a verbal aggrement to come back for the 5 window stuff in the springtime.

So to make a long story short I own a 32 roadster project and so does Marcy, Marcys car will be just to work on some and flip, mine is a keeper. i also snagged a few parts from the guy to use on the 32 roadster build like a Auburn gauge panel and a set of Guide headlights.

heres a few pics, not the best but ill get some more soon.

Great score! Do the doors have wood inners like the phaetons or steel inner panels? looks like hills of the western states and lots more iron there

Yep, they do have wood in the doors, but the cowls and quarters still have metal A and B pillars, and ive head that a new brookville innner will go right in the door so well see if i replace the wood with metal in mine or put a new b-ville inners.

WOW! That is a time warp for sure, reminds me of the Vintage Tin section of Rod & Custom back in the late 1960's. Good luck with the projects. Bob
