Been awhile since I researched the topic but am staring to work on this project again...is this the front lower mount I need to mount a 261 in a '53 chevy sedan?? thanks-
No. But you can leave that one on there. 53 and 54's use side mounts. 261s were cast with the 53-54 side mounts and then the later 55-63 style side mounts. the 55-63 stle will need to be adaped to fit in a 53-54 sedan. theres a few threads on here going into that. you can use your 53-54 belhousing, trans, rear mount with no issues,hope that helps.
