Hey guys, just heard about a 345 Dodge hemi for sale,i was wondering, first whats a complete rebuilder core worth, and second how can i make sure this is a Dodge and not a Desoto 345?...Thanks for any help you can give me...
If it's a Dodge it's most likely a 325. If not, it's a Desoto. If it's an original it should have 2 4-bbl carbs. What are the numbers on the front of the block on top?
The prices I've seen for a Chrysler Hemi are; 500-800 for a 331 ; 900-1500 for a 354 ; 1700-2400 for a 392. A Dodge Hemi if you can find them. 1600 for a 315 and 1800-2800 for a 325. Like what was said before get the numbers off the block and check it yourself. good luck.
51-3 long tail 331 5-800, 54 short tail 331 1,000, 1,200 for a '55 331, 1,500 for a 354, 2,000-2,500 for 392. Your high deck Dodge prices seems way high.
What's a hemi worth? Thats a good question. I guess they're worth what the buyer and seller come to agree on. You will put a lot of money in one. I bought this 1954 short bell 331 Chrysler 8 years ago for $300, as you see it. And last month I picked up this 1954 241 Dodge for $400. I felt OK with both deals, and am looking for more...
There are a lot of engine that are seized or have cylinders that need to be resleeved. So one engine might sell for $400 while a better engine for $1400. That's why it is hard to quote exact prices. A correct 345 Desoto Adventurer engine is a rare and valuable engine. A Desoto 341 that has been rebuild, bored to 345 is a nice engine but only worth half of the Adventurer 345. The dual quad intake is quite valuate but if you buy one you can slap it on any high deck Desoto
