Did a 31 ford sedan originally have wood floors or metal floors thanks

  2. They all had "floorboards". The 1928 through early 1931 4 door sedans also had a large amount of structural wood in the floor of the body. When they went to the slant window design in early '31 most of the wood was eliminated (except of course the "floorboards"). The amount of wood that remained was what you would find in a coupe or two door sedan.

Depends on if it's a Murray or a Briggs body.

Not sure about the 30 but the 31 Vic had floor boards up front and a stamped steel pan in the rear from under the seats to the rear cross member, upper part (arch) of the spring pokes thru.

  6. That is a new one on me. I thought all of the late '31 slant widow bodies were the same with the exception of the name plate and a few fastener types. See http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86442 for trivia but I can't vouch for it's accuracy.

    murry are rounded
    briggs are squares

  8. All of the door tops on the slant window 4 door sedans were the rounded shape as previously used on the Murray.
