Dale Klee is a wonderful artist who has painted many nostalgic junkyard scenes. Generally, these are available form his website, or places like Hemming's, for a reasonable price. I just picked up the 2014 calendar-free - from my friendly NAPA dealer. Get yours while you can.
I have been giving those to my buddies for Christmas for the last several years. May be the only reason some of them still talk to me.......
reread title of thread - Junkyard scenes by DK = Cool. there is usually a free with any purchase hook.
my local NAPA gives out Norman Rockwell.been getting it for 20 years .... I like it for the house .... but the junkyard sounds good for the garage ..
There use to be a old fart at the local radiator shop that bought two different calendars for his customers,,the lady's got a cute kitten desk calendar and the men got a ultra cool acetate calendar and he continued this until he passed away. His son took over after his death and his wife told him no more calendars with women of any kind,,he ask me last week did I want a calendar and when I stopped by his shop,,,sure enough a kitten calendar... I gave it to my granddaughter,Veda. HRP
Those acetate leaved calendars were really hot!-back in the day without the Internet-and Mylie Cyrus.
Woo-hoo! Santa delivered mine a few days ago (thanks Jeff)! It's already proudly displayed in The Hot Rod Grille Garage. Jim
