How long ago was that? it seems I remember problems a few years back with delivery of product from him.
About 4 months. The lead time was very reasonable, and He was very prompt with shipping. I even ordered it with custom dimensions. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Another vote for the bleed sweep frame. I think they look cool but depends if you want to go that style.
Simple search for 1931 Ford Frame on Phoenix Craigslist. One of these guys is in Glendale http://phoenix.craigslist.org/search/pta?query=1931+ford+frame&zoomToPosting=&minAsk=&maxAsk=
x2 on Riley out of CO. Not stock (it's swept and stepped), but well-built simple design. Price is quite reasonable. Eric did have some problems a few years back, but that was then and this is now. Bought mine a yr and a half ago, no problems at all. http://www.riley-auto.com/
Frank Borowitz at Premier Frame & Body in Phoenix builds nice, reasonably priced hot rod Model A and Deuce frames. Premier Frame & Body 3029 W Clarendon Ave Phoenix AZ 85017 602-245-4110
Local usually saves a lot on shipping or going and getting. I'd have to go see Steve at Industrial Chassis though as everything you see that he puts out is first rate right down to his shop equipment he makes himself.
If Henry's factories produced such good frames, how is it that they developed a sag with a 40hp banger pushing the car down the road? They are way too flexy for the abuse even a 239 or 255 Flatty can dish out.
Go with ElPolacko, he is local and one of the best. Many of us could build and sell you an A frame, but why not keep it in your backyard?
I bought a really nice TCI Model A frame for my first A. I think it cost around $1600. After that , I bought Model A frames and boxed them, made brackets, etc. and it probably cost me about $350-400 . The aftermarket unit looked really nice, but the A frames worked fine ( 2 cars both with 302 V-8's). Good luck however you go. Mike from Mass. (I must have money, I have checks left)
