I would be willing to save this car. How about everyone who want's to see this car saved paypal me a donation. I would, without any help, save this car from certian streetrodom. I know it is a selfless act but I am up to the task. Better yet go ahead and win the auction, then I will take over from there and keep the car. :D

    Ha

Very cool original car, looks like the guy has a couple of em. I hope someone does buy this to keep, and not paint neon orange or lime green...

    HRP.......you are a Gold Chainer !! ;)
By most HAMBer standards.....you have more than one 1932 Ford :D

I do not have the room for the 5W.....my little garage is full....BUT if this car had come up the first of this year......I would own it....

My offer still stands, I can hold onto it until you come up and claim it. I'll treat her real good, we'll go on daily "walks" and all... Northville is a pretty "nice" town lot o money around those parts.

I say take the 30,000 and put it in your cool 3 window! I was watching that car too and was surprised it didn't meet the reserve at 30,000.

After mailing the seller last week or whenever after 2 messages i was told that i basically couldnt afford it ??? how can i be told that when he aint mentioned a price, its far to expensive to ship to England he also said, i shipped my 51 Chevy in from California n that seemed fine ?? and finally it really needs to be kept in America so im no further forward and still dont know how much the seller actually wants ,surely money is money aint it ???

Cheers to the 2 lads that were going to ***ist me but it aint gonna happen ....till next time .

That ****s...as far as I'm concerned money is money when selling something...who cares who owns it or where it goes....I mean it's not like its an important piece of American History!...its just another old car!

    First
This is one perfect car and I love it. Priceless Patina.

    Second
Everytime these price discussions on 32's come up here on the HAMB I get confused and dejected etc Stop wining.

This coupe could not be buildt in Norway for under 60K. EVER. Including a brush paint job.
40K is CHEAP to me. It's an old original Hot rod, and RUSTFREE god dammit.

No I ain't rich or anything. I just have a lot of experience on collecting nice Hot Rod parts living in Norway. I've spent a fortune on shipping costs.

Michigander is right. Needs to be saved ...just like it is....

    My 2 cents

I think the "non-seller" needs to come down to the real world. There is only a usable body and frame there unless the new owner was just going to repark it back in the corner in the barn. If a guy was going to restore it, the drive train was wrong. If a guy was going to StreetRod it and have it dependable, the drive train was wrong. A fully restored 5-W isn't worth much more than his reserve, and to pay that much and build a finished StreetRod, I suspect the total cost would be much more than the car would be worth. Does anyone but me wonder how the prices for these cars got so far out of sight for the normal working person? I love the sport/hobby but sure can't afford these Boyd Coddington prices.

Geez are you mixed up. That car is done, it doesn't need to be "streetrodded". The only extra money needed is for an oil change.

It might be done in your world, but not in mine. When my family and I travel around the country I want my ride to be dependable and safe. That 32 is neither. Of course if I was 30 years old again, I may look at it a little different.
