Anybody ever have/seen one? I got one for Christmas in the 60's and it was so cool. Came with 2 slingshot dragsters that did wheelies. It had a tree and winner indicator. So.....anybody got one rat holed away that we can look at?:)

I used to put playdoh on the rear of my cars so they would wheelie all the way down the track. Learned about weight transfer at an early age!

Tommy the original came with putty for that purpose if memory serves me. I had one in 68 they sell for 500 bucks on ebay in decent condition. I have a large 1/43 collection from that era more road race stuff but I covet that set. It taught me to respect electricity at an early age.

Came across this old thread on google after I was searching for info on it. I just found my dads old set from 1965, one side of the box was half chewed from mice but looks to be all there. Starting to put the track together then realized it is 17 1/2 feet long so need to find a bigger room with open space. Anyone else still run these? and if so know if these older cars work on other newer tracks and vice versa? Havent had a race car set in years so i have no clue whats what these days.

I had a Eldon set but not the drag strip set but I did have a Cox Stinger Funny Car while my cousin had the Cox Dragster and we would race. And speaking of slots anyone ever seen Cox gas powered slot car set?

Neighbor had one when we were kids. Lots of fun. Put scotch tape on the slicks for burnouts! I had 2 Strombecker sets, wish I still had 'em. We later put a bunch of Eldon sets together and made a huge dragstrip 40'+ in a store basement. Had a high banked turn in the shutdown area, & used all the curves for the return road. Great times!
