Just need a Vega and a Pinto to make it complete. LOL (we had a 71 Vega wagon in the early 70s).

  12. Re post # 84357 "Jumping the tracks": When I was a kid my dad came home upset one evening having seen a guy kill himself by doing that. It was before seat belts were required and when the car bottomed out it bounced him back up in the seat so hard that he broke his neck on the roof.

And has been pointed out the several previous times this photo has been posted, this is not MM.

When viewing this thread, it is best to start at the beginning and do a few pages at a time until you get caught up. That is helpful in keeping the urban legends, doctored photos, etc. to a minimum and to stop the perpetual posting of them and the need to point out the same corrections over and over. There is also a lot of interesting stuff in the earlier pages.

Mmmmmmmmmm Muira! What a gorgeous car!!

To be honest though, the '40' was never an official Ford designation, it was just the "Ford GT", the '40' part was attached during production by workers building the car due to it only being 40inches in height and it caught on!

^ Be sure to wear your seat belt when doing this, as your butt will be a foot off the seat if you don't. Not to mention the headache you get in a closed car or the chances of being tossed out of your roadster! My Uncle Bill was an expert at this in and around the east side of Indy. Gary

Close. He turned left in front of a speeding Chevy Impala which knocked him into the tree.

It is the empennage assembly of a Boeing B-17, though I can not tell you what model there off.
