Mustang II Front End

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by -Malign Motorsports-, Dec 4, 2013.

  1. I'm thinking of installing a new frontend setup, on the new Mustang II front end will need to build new motor mounts as I would like to keep my inline 6.

    Thanks.

Is there a question in there somewhere?

Be easier to rebuild the stock front end and get an alignment. I have buddies who did this, it took away all desire for power steering or different suspension.

  4. So it made everything smooth and tight? I have just heard a lot of people saying its easier to put a Mustang II system for air bags then the stock.

as a general rule, replies to a question should be an answer. if your replies are more questions, you need to try again.

Yes, you would have to build new motor mounts.

Since I'm still not sure what the question is, I'll state my answer as "four".

OP...where did you get it and was it a custom width? I'd love a Mustang II front end but my project is too narrow - 52" track width. I know they make them custom/aftermarket but then I'd have to sell the car to pay for it....at which time I wouldn't need it anymore.

On second thought, I'm changing my answer to "tapioca".

    WHAT IS IT, MAN?!

The rack is the issue with narrowing a MII setup. The rack can be narrowed. There are threads here: http://jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=661859&highlight=narrowing+rack

Get the hats and crossmember from Welder Series, and set them up for the width you want.

The obvious answer to every question in this thread is, maybe.
