Here's a rain shot taken with my cell phone cam (again)..
This IS normal though. I was driving the truck daily to and from work and whenever else i could. If it rained, oh well. I just kept it running (no hood or real air cleaners)..
the neighborhood i work in is not too safe anymore though, so it stay's home most of the time now..after getting a bunch of shit stolen out of it that is..

Yep, built for snow. Might even mount a plow on it this year. Got the new weather stripping around the glass now so maybe I can keep a little heat in it and the windows won't fog up like the did last year. Gene

That's because you live in hell my friend. I thought Fresno was hot when I moved here from Huntington Bch. Then I worked in Yuma for a week in August '91. It was like 85 to 90 degrees in the morning right before sunrise!

Man, I am getting jealous, I don't have a cool winter car. I feel like I need a winter fix this year.

Nope. I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but I'm parking all my old shit for the winter and driving a lame Honda Civic in the snow. I'm basically doing the opposite of you. So I expect you to get that '54 to make up for the fact that I'm being a lame-ass this year.

There's more responses from smartasses that live in places where it never snows. I drive a Saturn through the whole year.

This will be my first winter in the NW and all I own is my 60 ranchero so it has to be my daily all winter.

yeah, im sure you do too. no part of the car can be lower than the rim when tire is fully inflated. also the lisence plate cant be lower than some height that i dont remember.

its kinda gnarly when you knock the yellow turtles off the road when switching lanes.

Looks like the custom scene is really taking off in Saskatchewan, but with the long winters there....well, you get the idea.

    and it's for sale

You said it, the post should read traditional winter (read below 40 deg) beaters. Rain don't count for winter! I wanna see more old cars in 2' of SNOW. Myself, I don't have a summer car yet, so I also drive a saturn the whole year. My other winter ride is a suburban the wife drives daily.

I dig that big ol red 4x4, now THATS a winter ride, and shit ya throw a plow on it!
