Technical 40 Ford Standard speedometer needle

Any body know where I can source one of these N.O.S or Repro?

 

I've seen NOS needles on Ebay. Usually listed for '41-48 but I believe a '40 is the same.

 

I've got an instument panel out of my '40. Excellent condition. I tried to post pics, but "Igor" the computer won't let me. I can send pics via e/mail. P M me your e/mail and I'll send some pics if you're interested.

A bit of a search didn't turn up any reproductions so far. You might post a "wanted" add in the cl***ifieds on here and on Ford Barn. Someone had one for sale on Ford barn a year ago but I'd imagine it was long gone. And there is the odd chance that someone has one on an otherwise junk speedometer that they will offer up.

40Standard-It is very rare to find parts like this in Tasmania now-a combination of climate which kills cars , the long time line since they were sold here and low car sale numbers during WW2-especially cars like large cars like 40,s make such parts rare!
