Hmmmm... you snooze you lose! Those magnesium American's that someone posted are sold. They were expensive, but just when I justified it..they are GONE.

Onto plan B..... anyone have an extra pair of 5 on 5.5 early ford Torque Thrust 15" I guess, 8-10" wide?

I'll likely just run a pair of Hurst slicks (look like the old M&H Dragmasters).

I know that look has been done to death, but trying to return the car to the 1967 photo in my avatar.....

DAMN! Not sure how I missed this story the first time around a couple of months ago, but neat little car! I have to laugh, 'cause when I clicked on the thread, I saw your avatar, caught the phrase "T-Bucket" in the first paragraph and skipped further down to see if the pictures were your avatar. YUP! My first thought looking at the first chassis picture was, "someone followed the Car Craft series in the sixties..."! Back up to the top and YUP again! Glad to see your keeping it pretty pure and using it. This type of bucket needs to make a come back and soon.

Some one else jumps on here again and asks if one of those God awful ugly stretched T-Bucket bodies is traditional again and I'm gonna do crimes...

    Thanks! I appreciate the compliments.

Admittedly, NOT much of a T-Bucket fan here. I have driven a few and although FUN.... they are still a T-Bucket. I have also driven 1926-27 Roadsters and can't believe how much more substantial they are (basically the same thing with a bit more leg room). This car caught my eye, it spoke to me.

I am very happy to be the current caretaker of this time capsule and look forward to having some fun over the Summer!

  7. Great little car - love the shorter wheelbase and agree on the black-on-black as the right color combo.

I built an almost identical car 15 years ago .Fastest thing I have ever driven and to be honest when driven really hard and shifting from 1st to 2nd scared the crap outta me!
