5th Annual Cruise For A Cause!!!- Food Drive, Ventura CA Sunday Dec 8, 2013 The Deadbeats Car Club of Ventura County, California is pleased to invite one and all to the 5th annual 'Cruise For A Cause' on Sunday December 8, 2013 from 12-5 pm. Another year, another new venue! This year the event will take place at the Yolie's Fresh Mexican Grill located at 138 W. Main Street in Ventura. This will be an all ages event, so bring the whole family! The turnout, rain or shine, has been great in the past, and we are hoping it will be even better this year! It doesn't seem to rain in California anymore, so get ready to bring your ride out and support those in need! If you're in town for Chopperfest, we'll be right around the corner! This year the charity will again be FOOD Share, Ventura County's Food Bank. The event is open to any motorcycle, car, or truck '72 or older, but as always, we are hoping to pack the parking lot with HAMB friendly vehicles! There will be live music! Yolie's has a full bar and a full kitchen. There will be beer and tequila drink specials in the bar. Brunch will be available until 2pm for $13.95. There will be raffles with a myriad of prizes donated by local businesses. Admission to the show and the restaurant will be provided for any person donating a minimum of 3 non-perishable food items in sealed packages, or a minimum of $5.00. Awesome!! This will be a nother great gathering for a charity. We are all looking forward to this bash!
This is this Sunday, looks like rain in the forecast for Saturday, so rest up and come out on Sunday!
Yup, you're probably shut in the house because of the rain today, so save your energy and come out tomorrow!
Joker, I didn't take any pics, but will try to get some from one of the others who attended. The event was a huge success!! Collected 7 brimming bins of food donations and hundreds of dollars in donations for Food Share!! The bands sounded great, with the Graveyard Kings kicking it off, the Shure Thing keeping it rocking and rolling, and Matt Sayre closing it out!! Yolie's may have been the best location yet; great parking lot layout, delicious food, refreshing beverages, and a friendly, accommodating staff!! Everyone who showed up brought a great attitude and a ton of generosity!! Familiar faces included (but were not limited to) the Pharaohs Car Club, the Spirits Car Club, the Nite Life Car Club, the Classique Car Club, the Switch Car Club, the 5150 Car Club, Noble Fabrication, JG Design and Fabrication, Rojas Speed and Style, Kiwi Kevin, and hundreds of others who I am neglecting to mention (don't take it personally)!! Again, big thanks to all who came out and gave to a great cause!! Looking forward to next year!!
