yup good show even with the rain. dressed hella warm and rolled the fuck around there with out a fucken care in the world. Lots of rad choppers too. met some cool people and loved it. the cold and rain kept most of the scenester crowd crying at home bout not getting attention over regulation cuffs and 4' pompadores. made for seeing everything real easy. cant wait for GNRS and the big 3, cuz that means were even closer to the next MOON Xmas party.
I was there from 8-11am. Full house of cars and lots of parking. No drag racing. but by 11am lots of vendors and cars were leaving. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Vonkool hit the nail on the head, it was a real cool turn out. Everyone there was a car person, when it started raining hard people took shelter in random canopies and everything was cool, no bad attitudes or tough guys walking around over compensating for not having an old car. Track crew did their best preparing for drag racing. But, they called it at 10:00 a.m. I commend all diehards who came rain or shine knowing the risk of shutdown from racing was there. Mooneyes staff remembers this stuff, and they will make it up. And to you guys that drove your rides into the show regardless of the weather, I thank you as well. It was a great show!!
I saw Chico and asked if this was enough rain to do it again in July. He just shrugged his shoulders and say "Maybe" I was able to get a dash plaque from him though....
I wish I could have made it. Unfortunately I got snowed in. awesome pics though. Looked like a good show as usual. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I drove up to race again this year. @ 8:30 it looked like they would be able to get the track is shape to run a couple of passes. By 9:00 it was raining enough to get my car under my tarp. I left at 11:00 and it rained on me the entire drive back to Orange. I loved it and would do it again:
we drove back to tustin and the 22fwy,orange/santa ana border, we left about an hour or so later and it wasn't raining but it was cold as hell.......this is my shoebox i drove.....
