A couple of us have been flying out to L.A. for the roadster show for the past several years. We have really enjoyed the event, especially Saturday when the local cars fill up the outside spaces. We generally take 3-4 days either side of the weekend to travel up and down the coast. We have been thinking of waiting a couple of weeks this year and attending the show in Sacramento instead, partially to visit some different parts of Calif. further north and maybe see some different cars. Opinions?????????
LA is a much more active spot for cars and car shows. The Bay Area is full of hot rod shops like Moals, Brizio's, Cotati's etc. You could visit all those places for something different and enjoy the cold weather but LA is the best of the two in my opinion.
thanks for the responses. Interesting thou that of all the HAMBER's out there who live in Calif. or attend these shows, only three responses.
LA for sure. Sorry for the limited response they say that, that's why we don't have a pro football team here to.
Pomona, especially 2014 - will have a large special display of Bonneville record setting cars and ? there. I live near Sacramento too. maybe list some of the places you have visited. then people might help you discover new ones to visit while over here. too bad that the big and famous Turlock, CA swap meet is the same weekend - that is a must do sometime.
I'm going to the LA Show this year (50th Anniversary) ...been a Bucklist of mine for a while....leaving Mobile, Al....going to Oklahoma City, Ok and hook up with the Grey Beards and on to Pomona from there.......going be a long trip in a Roadster there and back....somewhere around 4500 miles but I think well worth the trip, plus I get to meet up with my Ole Salt Flat Buddy John "THE ROCKETMAN" Paxson............
