My 57 is totally stock outside except widened rear fenders. I do have a Durango clip and Durango rear end in it and Chrysler master under the floor. I was wondering if anyone here could tell me if the 2002 Durango master has built in residual valves???? My first post was deleted. Kind of be nice to know why? I guess I may have put it in the wrong cl***. I 'm sorry if I did. Bled the brakes and have good pedal even without booster hooked up. Gerry in Colorado
Usually it's a good idea to also use the combination valve from the donor vehicle when doing a swap like that. My guess is the residual valves would be in the combination valve, but that's only a guess based on how older GMs were built. Maybe there isn't enough "traditional" in your build to make it past the censors? just a guess
you mite have a good pedal, but since you're not driving it; you won't know if the brakes are working correctly?
How did the Durango clip fit,if it has the correct width I will have to remember it as there are a few in the junkyards around here.
Jeff, 2 wheel drive Durango clip was OK width wise but it is a hell of a lot more work than a Camaro. The track is wider. I read Lux Blues instructions on the Camaro swap for general guidelines. Really would have rather used a Camaro clip. The rack and pinion steering is about the only plus.I may have a little problem on track width of front tires and fenders. They are close when turning. Also had to make a drop down frame section for the stock radiator and bumper mount section.I'll post some pics tomorrow. Gerry
Jeff I had to make motor mounts so steering would go under them all in all more work than I wanted to do. Also used Dakota front springs. Durangos were way too stiff. 305 oil pan from a pick up for dip stick , plugged old dipstick hole in block..305 exhaust to clear steering linkage. Gerry
