I need this piece for the p***enger side. It is the part that connects the bow to the side rails. Should be the same for 52-53 Ford or Merc. The broken part is attached with two screws and a pin. I think the same part is in the next bow forward but is riveted in the side pieces. I think they are made out of either pot metal or cast aluminum.

    Thank you,

    Roy

That looks like it would be weld-able ..... There is (was) a place in Texas that cast a lot of old convertible pieces - I bought some from him for my 49 vert. I don't still have the info, but he advertised in Hemmings. These were unmachined castings.......

Look up Jeff Curry Ford parts in CT. He had several top ***emblies for sale five or six years ago.

Another option would be to have a duplicate cast from br*** or bronze.

That piece doesn't look too complicated. If you cannot find an original replacement piece, I bet you could have someone fabricate that in a few hours.

    John:

Thanks, I hadn't thought of br*** or bronze. Since the original part is pot metal, I was also thinking of high strength plastic.

The only number I can find is a fax number: (860) 646-1272. I called information and nothing listed. Do you have a website or e-mail address?
