I am getting geared up for this, I have some parts to swap with a fellow HAMBer, and some magazines to donate to another. I will make sure to bring my helmet, gloves, and other welding gear, home from work. See ya saturday morning some time. -Joe

Something tells me that large boats/tanks, etc will be well represented in the parking lot. I'll be addin' my '62 Olds...save me a spot on Sunday next to the other yachts!

Yeah, bring some cutoff wheels if you got some laying around. I'm picking up 4 boxes of 3-M roloc discs, 36 and 50 grit, tomorrow night. Thanks!

New to the board out here in Waterford.......Anybody bringing a chopped Fleetline to the festivities this weekend? I would like to stop by, but my wife is due with our second child any day now (she is actually over due by a couple of days). In any event, here are a couple pics of my 51' Fleetline.....

I didn't chop it myself, but as the story goes it was chopped by the guy I bought it from in MN when he got back from Vietnam. It's a 4 1/2" chop.

I've been kicking around bringing some one-shot. I don't think I'm ready to start laying lines on other peoples stuff but I have about 30 different colors of one shot I could pack up and bring along if anybody else (Moose) wants to lay down some lines. I can bring along my brushes and some panels if anybody just wants to try to lay down lines as well. LMK, and I'll pack it into the suburban with the welder..

Sounds good to me, especially since I know your repainting it:D

  11. Harbor Freight has pretty good deals on cut off disks. Way cheeper than the 3M ones. They don't last quite as long but for many as you get for the money it make up for it, and some.

Jlittle, that car looks great, I wish you could bring it by, I whouldn't mind meeting another local HAMBer as well.

    what about vice grip "c-Clamps"???

  16. I dunno...I would be afraid that car would fold up if I lopped the top off. I am searching for a new frame for it that is local. The ugly red truck is broke right now until I can bleed the brakes.

Its looking like the turbo motor is going into the fleetline with the four speed. Its looking like a ladder bar setup for the rearend too.

Don't forget a chair if you have one. There are a couple around the shop but no where near enough for the size of the expected crowd.

Just got back from the shop....HUGE crowd showed up just to hang out and shoot the **** as everyone looked over StinkyFinger's ride. The "older", more experience guys started dicussing the chop while the younger ones looked on and absorbed. Very cool.

It didn't take long before a piece of trim came off here, and another piece came off there, then the next thing I know the windshieds being removed and the guys are starting to work on the rear windows. Everyone is anxious to start, thats for sure.:D

I was so stoked about the calendar that I forgot to take my camera but don't fret, there'll be plenty of photos taken tomorrow and Sunday.

One last thing for those that will be attending the chop tomorrow. The main parking area for the shop got pretty crowded tonight, tomorrow will be even more so. How about those that drive daily drivers tomorrow park in the HUGE gravel parking lot right next door and save the spaces in Cl***ic Collisions parking lot for hot rods and customs..... with the nice weather thats predicted there will be LOTS of nice rides that folks will want to "show off" to their fellow HAMB buds. Lets give them the choice spots.

  22. You guys have a great time and work safe. Sounds like there might be a HAMB Chop impromtu carshow too. ;) :D

  23. Ok finally had to kick everyone out so we could get some reast for tomorrows bash/chop/distruction of Marks hotrod:D

We got a slight jump on the project by getting the gl*** out and pondered the many cuts that will be made. MarkX was kind enough to supply Mark(Car owner) with many Pics of the 52 he chopped. There were lots of copys to p*** around and we all discussed the plan of attack.

I'm really looking forward to cutting this baby up tomorrow.:D

Tune in for more right here on the HAMB ,where men are men and cars are victims:eek:

Alright guys... my happy *** won't be showing up until Noon or so...

Anybody coming from the North that late and feel like following a loud *** '55 down?:D

10 gallons of Sunoco 94 EACH way might be more than I can afford! (I'll probably save the gas and drive the good mileage ride:eek: )

There are over 20 people here from the westside, including me and there wasn't one detour or contruction delay.
