Anyone have any advice on how to get these out? Large screwdriver is just tearing it up. Been soaking in MM oil for 2 weeks with no luck.

Heat the plug red with a small oxy tip, then pour water on it, this will make the plug shrink and screw out easy.

I can usually get those off by putting the screwdriver on an angle in the slot and gently tapping rather than putting force on the center of the plug.

Got it out, I knew heat would help but no torch so hoping somebody had some magic beans. Ended up drilling a small hole and using a screw extractor, came right out. I think I can seal the end with some silicone when I put it back together and reuse the screws.

Dude really. Call Mac VanPelt and get a couple new plugs. With shipping and everything I bet it's under $5.

The next time get so me heat from a hair dryer or lamp bulb(halogen shop light works here) & a candle . Heat it up & melt the candle to let the wax work into the threads.
