got a call from a guy who wants to buy a 32 (ford) 3 window hiboy that is a hastings body on a lobeck ch***is and he was told that to fender it he would have to use hastings fenders- that that was all that will fit it?? any body know for sure. it kind of rings a bell but i know hastings is long been out of business. any body remember any hastings dealers that are still around that might know??
I think any fenders would fit. I have a Hastings and so does my Dad. I use hasting fenders and my dad used wescott.
Hello Bob, Hasting bodies used standard 32 fenders. Gl*** or steel fenders work OK. I first met Don Hastings when he was a coal mine underground superviser. He used Gibbon bodies for his molds. I sold his bodies from mid 86-92. Good luck, Bob
What happened to Dons molds after he p***ed? I had one of his last bodies and thought about getting ahold of his wife about the business but did not want to contact her right after he p***ed and then I was told that she sold all of it to someone.
I built a Hastings Body using the Hasting Fenders and Running Boards in 1999 which I still have with a lot of miles on it now and I remember when I was in the Hasting's Shop, Don showed me a Westcott body that he used for his mold dimensions so Westcott fenders should fit. They were one great family to deal with and low volume and quality was very important to them.
the body's an molds are all still their I'm friends with his grandson I just seen them yesterday his wife is wanting to part with everything as whole package if you need contact info message me I could help someone that is a serious not just wanting to look around
