May 1963 Cecil County Dragway. Gene Altizer's new Anglia A/Gasser before paint.

 

1965 Cecil County Dragway. Gene Altizer's chopped A/Gas Anglia.

 

All of these were taken at the 65 Division 1 points meet. Most I took the wheel stand photo was taken by the guy who photographed it for SS & Drag and Illustrated. He gave the picture to my friend Ray Kobel who owned the Willys

First Drag strip/Races I attended. Believe it was either 64' or 65'.. if I'm remembering correctly there were AFX'ers running that saturday night!

 

I used to get a kick out of the big,black horse that would stand at the fence and watch the cars go down the track. does anyone have a picture of that?

 

In 1966 while at the Proving grounds in Aberdeen MD. I would go up there every week end there were races.

My buddy Paul Swagler (RIP) used to wrench on his brother Jim's 55 seen here at Cecil county.

 

I know jim and his dad. He runs the red one. Pops runs the blue wizard one

 

Cecil County 1964.....Donovan-Welch-May in the B/G Prefect in the far lane, Fred Bear (aka bearfebco a few posts back) in the Willys.

 

You mean these? Hard to believe the red one is tha same gray car pictured in my last post. Still going after all these years.
