Man, that brings back memories. I grew up outside of Boise and at least 3 of us kids learned to drive in my Dad's Blue 1950 Silver Streak 8 with factory high compression head and hydramatic. It even had the lighted Indian head hood ornament! He bought it new from Logston Pontiac in Boise. We flogged that poor old Pontiac so hard Dad was convinced it was a lemon because it was in the shop a lot. It also had a lot more miles than he thought once I figured out how to pull the speedometer cable out of its socket. Your body style is the same as his -- 2 dr. fastback. It's fun to imagine it somehow got saved instead of scrapped and you're bringing it back to life. Whether it is the old family Pontiac or not, its great to have one on the road in Idaho.
