I swear I read an article several years ago about 3 early Fords that were found buried in a huge concrete drainage line. Does anyone remember this, or am I going crazy?!? I googled it and can't find anything.

    Thanks

Around 1968 I demolished an old garage and found a Model A bumper and 2 axle shafts embedded in the poured concrete foundation. I know it's not quite the same thing.

Around 1968 Dad and i used some old bumpers as reinforcing in the garage floor. We also used a 36 Ford chassis as reinforcing in the concrete.

Mobsters traditionally used 'old bones' to reinforce concrete :D

I think there's a '30-31 Ford roadster buried under my neighborhood... so far I've found one hubcap and the left windshield post. Blasted neighbors fail to understand the importance of this, and continue to frustrate my attempts at demolition and serious quarrying.

Poor folk used them as septic tanks before building codes existed. And we still have rip-rap, but it's disappearing.
