A healthy 292 six banger with a Muncie 4 speed would be great fun.

put the big block in it-----it'll fit with no hammering if you use stock valve sovers

 

Can't wait to see the del-ray you must have a 55 magnet to find such nice cars. I like the stance also. Here's my work in progress. Ron.

New to this just reading about putting big block in a 55 chevy easy fix is to cut center out of a 57 chevy and weld in looks like factory job clears really well

 

My 55 had a 6 in it too ... Couldn't wait to put a new crate ZZ430 in it with a turbo 400 and a 9 inch ford rear axle ...
