this is what happens when your battery dies and the car is left out over night at work!

I live in central Texas, and we see more ice than snow. I have been through that down here and it isnt fun. The drivers down here cant drive in rain much less ice. Your car is cool as ever man!

Just think about it,there were times that Plymouth has been in worse conditions than that.
If our old iron could only talk................the stories we would hear. ( Just sayin )

Mine has bald tires and got stuck in the yard during the first snow we had. Finally had a warm day today and was able to move the poor old girl.

That's the kind of freezing weather we get hear in the South,,usually ice then snow on top. HRP

  10. Yeah, we're getting it near Kansas City, too. Can't get out and turn a wrench right now, even in the unheated garage. Scary dangerous outside.

That's called freezing rain down here.

Makes unlocking and opening the doors dreadful.

  12. My buddy Keith lives west of Dayton in Lewisburg

He parks his truck out side his garage each night at the top of an incline,
not a big incline, but ....

Woke up last week - truck was gone ....

SLID on ice 15 feet or so down the driveway overnight

Haven't seen it in a few years but I can remember many times having to chisel out the door to be able to crank it up to get to work. Then get to work to find my delivery vehicle also in the same condition. I hate winter, nothing good at all about it to me.

So that is what a sun visor is really good for, keeping the ice off of the windshield!

Reminds me of my 1949 Dodge in the late 50's and 60's. I'd shaved the doors, hood, and trunk. The door ****ons were small push****ons in the vent window rubber. Ya ever try to open a door without a handle? After finally using hot water to get in, I had to hold the door shut while driving to work.
Kinda remember why we left Illinois when I retired.
Kids said Illinois is getting freezing rain today. We had to suffer with 86 and sunny down here.

I moved from Michigan a couple years ago mainly because of stuff like that. Don't miss it a bit.

  20. And for those who leave their cars outside, don't forget about SilGlyde, a silicone based rubber lubricant that will restore old rubber gaskets such as door rubber and will keep the rubber from sticking during a hard freeze. No more fighting the sticking rubber! Good stuff for window felts and rubber in general.

    Beautiful Car...& Family too !!
That is the ****s when that happens...
Had that same weather two days ago here, and as I was beating on the doors of my truck trying to get them to open, I also was smiling, as my '63 Biscayne was sitting warmly in the garage about 20 feet away !!

When I first saw the ***le of this post I envisioned a tree limb across your car. So glad it was just ice. It's actually kinda cool looking.

I hate ice, but love the winter. It keeps the nasty critters in the south. Great pictures.

P.S. Snow tires on the fleet yesterday, and snow today. That's prepared, if last minute-like.
