    Greg,
The new floor looks outstanding.....The whole project is looking great. Bob would be proud of you with what all you have done and the quality of workmanship.

Made some more progress today. I couldn't wait to see if my wheelbase was going to line up with the wheel wells, couldn't be happier. Kinda like framing a house, seems like a lot gets done and then it comes to a crawl. There is a few items, like the cowl has been spread apart at one time when it was channeled. The rear subrail extensions are just dry fit, and need to be properly fit. Overall I am very happy with the stance, and was hoping the car didn't set too level. I wanted a bit of nose down rake. I have a standard eye rear spring if I want to switch out the reverse eye to raise the rear a bit.

Thanks Dennis. That means alot to me. If I could change anything on this build, it would be to working next to dad. He is responsible for talent and p***ion for 32's that I have today. I am building the car he always wanted , but could never afford as a kid.

That looks great, nice to see you have a lot of proper tools for the job. Wheel well fit looks great, I was told using a pair of rear fenders will get things factory perfect. Fenders and cowl are the only points that will get a channeled body back to factory location. Bob

I dont have any rear fenders to use as a gauge, so it will be lots of measuring and what looks good. Once I get the doors hung, I plan to them as a gauge for adjusting. Not sure how to pinch the A pillar post back. It appears they were spread apart when it was channeled, must have been channeled over a wider frame other than a 32.

Nice project! Looks like you got it under control.

Just to start a discussion of ideas for re-shaping the A pillars:
A rigid pattern made from another 32 would be very useful....(full height of A-pillar from top to bottom). Perhaps you could use heat and some pipe clamps to gradually squeeze the A pillars back into contour.
This approach may be crude, but without all the neat tools, I usually try to simplify things.
Maybe others more experienced will suggest better methods.

The drivers door pillar seems to fall right where it needs to be, I hung the drivers door and I fits very well on the 1st attempt. The p*** pillar is the one that is kicked out at the bottom. I need to do some more measuring from key points to see where to manipulate the pillar. Its obvious its between the dash support and the bottom of the pillar. I like the idea of a template, now to find a stock 5w that is local to make a pattern or take measurements.

    Greg,
This is looking better everytime I check in on you. Ya should be able to go over and check the measurements out on Tink's 5 window if you can get him to unload all the parts inside it. Might be a good reason to get him fired up to finish it.
I like the tire fitment on the back of yours.
    Keep hammering away....

Really have a blast working on this 5w, the doors are fitting pretty well. I have the floor fastened down and fitting the A and B pillar brackets. Dry fitting as much as I can before any welding. Also scored a NICE pair of Indy roadster Halibrand mags from Hamber "frames", thanks again Dennis. Rear tires may be firestone Indy, or 8.90x16 dirt track.

Looking good! Did the 700R4 fit the CE X member without cutting? I am doing the same thing and George at CE told me a 700R4 would not fit. Yours looks like it fit perfect.
