Ok, I never thought I would have to say this but the time has sadly come to sell my dodge. It sucks, but do to financial reasons and, well, you know the deal. I'm posting here because I was wondering if you guys and girls can help me, I'm not sure what to ask for it... Here are the specs: 1950 dodge coronet club coupe Straight 6, three on the tree (gyro-matic) All the options- heat, radio... I bought it from the original owner's son a year and a half ago Was sitting for awhile but only has 73,000 miles Doesn't run, don't know when it ran last (was last registered in '79) but here's what I've done so far: The first thing i did was free the engine, now the crank turns easy and is not stuck. I then rebuilt all the brakes, so now it stops: new master cylinder new wheel cylinders new flex lines front and rear and a new brake-light switch I have bought everything for the car through Robert's motor parts and Kanter and I have the reciepts (most have not yet been installed, if they were i've noted it): Overhaul Kit (new gaskets) for whole motor from Robert's New themostat (installed with new gasket) New ignition wires New Oil Filter New radiator hoses, upper and lower New fan belt New Front motor mount (installed) New rear motor mounts New chrome radiator cap New Thin white Radials (old tires were shot) Also have new master cylinder kit and wheel cylinder kits, but you won't need them for awhile, if ever. New chrome air-cleaner New Chrome lugnuts Water pump cleaned up with it's new gasket installed New timing chain cover gasket also intalled One thing that wasn't bought yet, though, is a carb. rebuild kit, you'll porbably need that or can take it somewhere to get it rebuilt. After it is running it'll of course need paint and interior. Side chrome is currently off the car but will be included in sale. Everything that has to do with the car will be included, actually, be it the shop manual to the hub caps, nothing will be left out, damn, i'll even through in all the paint i've used so far, too, i've got quite a bit left over and won't be needing it. (The wheels are painted hemi orange, brake parts satin black, brake hubs grey, interior window sills primed) (oh... here's a couple pics from when i got it, before i took off the side chrome, painted the wheels and got new tires, oh, and i'll be honest, the passenger side door has had a little incident with some paint thinner since then... it'll need new paint anyways, right? the car is very straight, though, besides the usual minor and very small dents accrued over the past 55 years) This car has a lot of potential and will make a great car for the one with the right financial means and motivation. So... what should I ask for it? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Oh... and if your interested just holler. I am currently located in Antioch, CA. Thanks
I know a lot of people here don't like it, but post it on eBay. That'll tell you roughly what you can get for it. Give or take some.
I might have to. I thought I'd try and sell it to a hamber first, though... Once I find out how much I should ask I'll post it in the Hamb Classifieds. Thanks...
I'll give you 500 buckaroos for it! Thanks, I pick it up tomorrow. (*laughing at the mental image of 500 gay cowboys in trade for a mopar)
Look for what similar cars are selling for on the net somewhere? You can always post your car to ebay with a $100,000 reserve. That way it will (probably) never sell, but you'll see how much people are willing to pay.
