Ch***is Engineering builds some good stuff and there must be thousands of these front ends under early Fords. For the longest time CE was the only one who manufactured a forged axle, with the exception of getting an original axle dropped. Their dropped steering arm fasten with through bolts, instead of blind bolts like others. You'd be very satisfied with this set up.

I have used both the CE set up as well as the Posie's set up and I prefer the Posie's over the CE. Posies comes with disc brakes and their "super slide" reverse eye spring.

Ch***is Engineering has a great front suspension setup and this is a quality piece but what are you going to do with the bones?,,do you still have a flathead and the original transmission? HRP

Contrary to popular belief I'm not asking the question trying to procure the bones rather point out the fact that if the bones are unmolested they may need to be modified if the car is to receive a different engine and transmission necessitating splitting the bones.

In that case the spring mount on the bones may need to be heated up and bent to be parallel to the spring. HRP

I am heading to the city (Edmonton) in 2 days, going to find a wishbone out of a 37 or up to split and use the CE trans mount/wishbone splitting kit. I do not have the flat head, just the seized transmission.
