New, old guy. Trying to find info on swapping an auto trans behind my dad's 50 plymouth flathead six. I have a 904 but I'm told a 704r has a lower first gear ratio plus I like the idea of the od. I will be upgrading brakes front and rear, so probably swapping the rear end as well. He has an issue with his hip that henders him from shifting the 3 on the tree. Who has the best adapter kit value? Thanks.
pmh64: search Langdon's Stovebolt (Inliners International), or Butch's Cool Stuff. If they don't have your trans adapt. they may be able to direct you to someone who does. I'm working on a 40 Ply and have been searching anywhere and everywhere for parts myself. Good luck !
