sw speedo with blue dot

    are these speedomoeters old or a new production part. I have a guy with one trying to twll me its form the 60's not so sure. whats with the little blue dot under the sw? 550HH-D

    That blue dot is probably a high beam indicator. Installation of the tach in many instances would have blocked the view of the OEM indicator.

    Definitely NOT a sixties speedo. Same as the one from Speedway.

    It looks just like one ive had on the shelf for about ten years... But its only about ten years old...

    Here's a 60's style. Chrome bezel and all white pointer are clues.

    That is a Stewart Warner Heavy Duty series and they go back to at least the 1970's and are still in production. There should be a date code on the back
