Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Norrland, Dec 29, 2013.

  1. Hi everyhopa!

Looking and wondering if there is any tuneup parts like heads, manifolds, camshafts or headers for a 1952 Nash Wagon? Want some more punch in the old flathead six

I recently acquired a mint copy of "How to Build Hot Rods" published by Fawcett in 1955. Oddly enough pages 128-133 are devoted to "More Dash for the Rambler Nash" by Fran Newman. Very detailed photos of hopping up the 172' flat head 6.

PM me and I'll try to scan the pages.

They used to make heads, manifolds etc for the Rambler when it was a popular car in the fifties. Apparently it responded well to a few hop up tricks, you could get 25% more HP with a few bolt on goodies and not hurt the gas mileage.

Fenton or edmunds made stuff for them, I think. I remember seeing an ad on here once for a finned head for a Nash. Can't be all that common though.

In '55-'56, there was also a factory optional dual carb head for them. I had one a couple months ago, but it's sold now.
