I thought this was a freaking cool truck. Especially since I own a 64. Here is the web site. http://www.f-100xl.com/

I'm building mine as a custom and I'm always looking for ideas. If anyone wants to post some other cool pics of 61-66 ford trucks I think it would be cool.

I've got a '62 unibody - thanks for sharing the story! Great piece of history that I somehow missed the first time around - I have no recollection of that truck.

What I'd REALLY like to see is the 427 cammer!! The only awe-inspiring engine I've ever looked at...........and drooled over :)

That is a really cool story...I just sold my 63 f-100...those are really fun trucks. I'd love to see more f-100s done up like that!

That is super cool. Why in the photos did they leave the original 6cyl. exhuast under the truck? Looked like most of the other work under there was done. Awesome articles! thanks for posting.

The "street" exhaust was a cl*** requirement at that time in /FX. The rules got more liberal soon thereafter.

    Neat truck, cool history.

Ah, I thought that's what it could be. Brings back a lot of memories of my '63 I had in highschool with a hot 351W in it.
