Love your collection! Nice set up for building too, this was mine. Sadly all of this is now gone and I am starting my collection again.

Wow, I think I do better with nuts and bolts than Glue, totally nice work...

 

Question: Do you model builders use automotive paint ?

Sometimes. When using automotive paint I always use automotive primer. The paint can react with the plastic with unfriendly results.

 

Very good advice!
Always test a new paint on some s**** sprue from the kit you intended to paint!
You may be surprised at the variety of paints we do use, from model company enamels and acrylics to nail polish, general purpose rattle cans and automotive paints. Almost any medium is acceptable if it provides the colour you want or need.
