to go get another 40 coupe to keep me occupied for a while. Will be 71 soon so need to keep after it. Maybe a road trip this week to go look at two coupes-wife is ready to roll and says to go for it.

  5. To have my 30' coupe on the road by spring.

Streetrods maybe driven by Chevy, but hotrods are powered by FORD!

Build the "H" pipe in the exhaust, put on the new valve covers my wife got me for Christmas, change intake manifold and carb, and get the luggage trailer painted and ready for a great cruising, rodrunning season. Dang, I love this hotrodding stuff, dont you?

Sell off all the non automotive crap around here and get current with bills. See if I can get back to "House Money" and "Car Money" something that merged years ago and needs to be corrected. Get the Roadster cowl in finish primer, then rebuild and fit the doors. Get the T Bobtail up to roller form, and finish the hardwood floor here in the office/junk room. Will any of this happen, hell no, but I think about it every year at this time. Happy New Year! Bob

Mine rarely come to fruition, so this year I'm going to take things as they come.

  14. Put more miles on the road than I did last year.
Last year - small local stuff probably 1500 - 2000 miles
Road trips - 8500 or so.
    That's around 10,000, shootin 4 15000 this year

  15. Drive the old 34 and get started on the 55. And hang out with family and friends, And do a burn out in front of the old police station

  16. Drive by the White Tower in Stamford backwards on a Friday night!
    RIP Joe!

  17. I would have to say, starting one of the ones lying around would be good. not holding my breath though

I'm going to try (I said try) to not street race. I have an almost uncontrollable habit of taking up challenges; most often when young guns in their late model factory muscle cars pull up next to me at lights and come off as intimidating by reving their engines. I'll look around and make sure that the coast is clear, then give them a taste of what homemade power to weight can do!:p I've been lucky as far as not getting tickets and need to quit this stuff before I do. I'm just a dang, old version of a kid... I need to try and quit street racing (I said try).:D ...robber

To never build another street rod...

The parts you get these days are pure China junk, plain junk, or should be classified as junk.

And the suppliers do not know anything about the parts they sell you....but do know that when you return the junk...you have to pay shipping twice.

I hope to make a real start on my ol' 37 this year, instead of just gathering parts and daydreaming about driving it. staring at it and making motor noises as I fantisize about road trips is getting old! LOL!

I want to make real progress on my COE, fix a few things on the 46 Chevy, and get my Dallara on the track, hopefully pulled there by the COE...

  29. We are expecting twins in May, so money & time may be tight this year. My resolution is to get as much done on my Cadillac as I can on my own... Floors, wheel wells, firewall, engine mockup, and general assembly.

I'd like to get the wiring finished in my shop and also some heat out there, so I don't have to dress like the little brother in 'A Christmas Story' to go out and work on my cars next winter.
