Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm in the Camden area of NSW. Both cars are Australian bodied cars, the owner Brad had been collecting parts and panels out of paddocks, tip piles and swap meets over the last 30 odd years and finally decided to do something with it all. Some stuff had bullet holes while one quarter panel still had bulldozer tracks across it.Nothing that couldnt be fixed though. On the plus side there was some pieces so perfect for its age that it was a pleasure to work with. '37 Mercury motors for both cars, little bit of local rodding history came with the more complete rolling chassis of the two, having its Merc motor in it since the sixties but the body was taken off long ago. The pair have just gone home for while but have a heap more pictures to put up so you can see it from start to now in more detail and I will try and get them up over the next few weeks. Cheers, Geoff. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
They look like awesome starts to two good traditional hot rods! For what its worth though, '37 engines would be a 21 stud flathead, 221 cubic inch and not a Mercury engine. If they are 21 stud and have center water outlet heads, and the water pumps in the block then they are '37 engines.
Sorry might have been '39 model motor. I'll get some photos up and maybe you guys can help identify.. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
