The RC guys do some pretty tight curves with the stuff. The stuff is heat shrink so it can be made to conform to almost anything by someone with the touch.... regards, DJ
It's going to work like everything else that legislation has put its nose in. Everybody knows someone that can get them the paint products they need. All this is really doing is keeping some bureaucrats in an overpaid job. There is no limit to the layers of government rules and the rule makers behind them. Write your legislator.
Take a look here:http://www.monokote.com/monoinst1.html I think that'll answer your question. I oughta go get some MonoKote from the hobby shop and cover my 31's 32 rattle can primered dash just to see how it does work out. I still have the little iron and the killer heat gun. The heat gun is way hotter than your Sweetie's hair dryer. Many colors available, metallics, pearls etc. Take a look here: http://www.monokote.com/
certified is a goverment word that in engligh means taxed. I am certifed in a/c repair so I could buy r-12. That was 15.00 and an open book test. The bastards just wanted my money and a reason to charge more for freon. The same thing will be for the paint. Less government and more acountablity will solve alot of problems. If global warming is so real how come mars is also warming did our rovers destroy the martian enviorment? ANd why is the sun burning hotter? We don't know enough about this world to say that we are destroying it. The parinoid worry-warts that expect everything to go bad and only look for the worst in all do not need to make desions for us. Its like loking at two pages of a 1000 page book and writing a report on it. You are just making conclusions on a small fraction of info. Read up on the epa they have to much power for a bull shit organization. PEOPLE READ AND STUDY THINK FOR YOUR SELF AND MOST IMPORTANT STAND UP FOR YOUR BELIEFS. DON'T JUST SIT AND CRY BECAUSE SOMETHING IS HAPPENING YOU DON'T LIKE.
This is why the push for "waterbased" paints. I could see them thinking that we would pay someone to shoot a hot primer coat (inside a properly filtered, scrubbed and approved paint booth ) then take car home to lovingly sand, etc and apply coats of EPA approved paint, then back to paint booth for clear coat. Clean, logical but expensive and no fun.
The fish oil is what makes their red rust primer work so well. I've been using it for years, and at $20/gal, it's hard to beat. FYI, it doesn't take any longer to dry than other oil-based paint; just wait a couple days before before you can sand, but if you're not doing production work, it's no big deal. I usually have several projects going at once, so I'm not standing around waiting for paint to dry anyway.
