Hey guys I'm working on getting a new bed for my 32 project I'll be starting next week here in my shop. I was talking with Mack Hils and they offer the bed in a shortened 55" length. I was originally thinking 60" but would like to see if anyone has pics of their truck with a 55" bed. I'm going fenderless so pics of that style would be perfect. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the pics guys. ModelACrazy do you know the total length of yours?

55" may be too short for the look I'm after. 60" is probably more along the lines of what I want. Hopefully Mack makes a stock one I can cut down.

One thing to keep in mind a 32 Ford frame is 106 inches where a 33-34 is 112 inches. HRP

Thanks for the measurement. I hear you on the frame differences. The bed will probably be channeled over the frame a bit anyway. My frame is a 32 and the cab is a 34.

This is my Pal Dave's truck,it's a 34 cab on a '32 frame,,the bed is identical to mine.

My thought is if you use a 55" bed you may have to trim the rear of your frame rails. HRP

55" is short....with un-chopped top 60" or slightly more, is better, to my eye. 70.5 is stock 32 length.

Hope someone can post some stock length beds too. I think I would take a 70.5" over a 55".

When I built my 34, I used a Model A box which I think I took out 12" of the rear which made it equal distance from the axle center to the front edge of the box and to the tailgate.

Mine is a 33-34 bed shortened 6" in the front, to get the wheel well in the right place for a 32. This ended up the same as a 32 bed shortened 6" off the back. Here's some pics of what was done...

Thanks, Neal. Your rumble seat in the p.u. box is really slick!

    Guess this is stock 70.5".
