We have been to everyone in Scottsdale (including the "spring flings") and will be there this year with both a car on the grass and selling. Undecided if I want to go on the cruise this year, it has become progressively worse every year, plus they must think there are no rodders in the east valley. The only year it was worth a shit was when it started at Busters and ended at SoCal. Don't get me wrong, Dean has a nice LITTLE shop, but I have more equipment in my home shop. TCI (correction HUGHES) builds a damn good transmission, but "hey, didn't we already do this"? RB's building is cool if you want to drive 4 billion miles to see the same stuff they will have out at the show anyway. I don't know who picks the tour/cruise, but they need to be fired (or beaten) so someone new can come in. Best stops they USED to have: SoCal (at least the party/food was great), Busters(ok, yea they are closed, but great tour),Arizona Street Rods(when the shop next door ran that rail on the dyno, damn cool), Charlies (ok, shes just freaking hot, nuff said), Auto core(kick ass OLD SKOOL shit, gold chainers need not apply). Until they get some "younger blood" into the loop, these old farts will get worse and worse.

SRI i know what cha mean , i gave up doing the shop tours all but INDUSTRIAL CHASSIS his tour is the best every year hands down ! But this year the vintage drag are also going on i think that sat night at speed world "sean" can get us info if he peek in this thread . The mazanita roundy round event i think also happens that sat night , and any of those three will far out do anything the pavillions has to offer . The dirt track race is the last of the year and it like a huge demolition derby where the last one standing and first to finish take the prize and basicly no rules , i have seen them go backwards , and ram into eachother , and put people into the wall ! It is a sight to see !I really only wanna go out to the RB's event for the killer BBQ grub and ta b-s w/ some like minded car folks .I have a few more parts comming for the wagon and hope they wil be here for this event , but i for one wont miss out .I too have been to every one they have had and had a blast at all the events , even went to the first CO one .anyway if ya all are showin up from outta town let us locals know yer commin !!

Im looking forward to it more than usual. My dad is coming out for the show
and he has never seen the Buick, so we should have a good time running
    around town all weekend.

A word of advice to ya broken spoke , if you like the high end big buxs hotels then by all means stay in scottsdale , but if you wish to save money shop around a bit and head a bit west on bell road into pHX .They are still nice ,safe ,clean and alot cheaper. The show is right off the 101 freeway and if you stay on or near I-17 in phx your still not far .
MILES the search is over i got those covers i was lookin for off good ole ebay thanks for checkin , hope the tucson meet was better than mesa was .
Glen thats sounds great ! see ya there , and look into the vintage drags at speedworld , also i just got handed a flier on a rockabilly show w/ some bands for sunday eve after the shows last day .

If you do decide to stay right around the I-17 and Bell I live right near there
P.M me if you plan on coming to Phoenix and I can give ya my cell number so you have a person to call if ya need help.

This applies to any other hambers coming to Phoenix.

I have been broke down in strange towns without help and it sucks. Plus I got most of the tools and probably the parts you need to get back on the road.

Look for Bruce in this '36. He's the guy that I was with last April when we cruised to west Phoenix of Friday night. Don't dump on him for having a perfect paint job and finished interior, he also has a '49 five window PU that has patina to die for.

If you see him at Greedy Guys, tell him AV8Paul said Hi.

  18. Open house is on for 11/19/2005 here at Industrial Chassis Inc.

    for your information:

    Industrial Chassis Inc.
    3536 W Osborn #5
    Phoenix AZ 85019

602-278-6800 for any questions or info needed.

Last year we had a pinstriping extravaganza. This year I am out of ideas, it's been a busy year for us and the shop if full of projects.

I appologise in advance to S.R.I. for not having a shop full of tools to keep your interest. Just 10,000 sq/ft of shop space, two dogs and some worn out cheap machinery. Come to have a good time, bring your own beer, we will have a low key hangout and if I come up with something in the mean time usually a "hands on" demo of some sort.

    always up for suggestions.

The first year we built a hood for SamIam's Roach Rod.

Second year we had a full size NASCAR simulator we were building controls for allong with our neighbors collection of Alfa Romeos and early Ferraris.

Last year everyone had the chance to pinstripe my truck. My old man, Len Szymanski gave everyone interested some good lessons.

So far this year I turned down building a set of headers, too much time involved and not real hands on.

Anyone know a good band? Circus acts? Freak show?

Perhaps you meant Hughes Performance for transmissions 2 years in a row in the Phoenix area. I ran the tranny dyno all day long.

We were told that a return visit to our shop was requested by many GG members

Donzie, yes it is the weekend of the 19-20. Look for the hoodlums at the back of the parking area. H.A.M.B.ers should be out in force.

  30. My pops and I will be there in the back lot with Jerry. Look for the 227 bullet coupe 32 5 window and flat balck model A on 32 rails. Would not miss ElP's for nothing, its the best time at night. Hey ElP how about doin more pinstriping again this year. Your dad is a really good teacher. Or maybe some welding tech like mig and tig. Maybe we could talk my dad into showing some basics on leading this year. Let me know if you like these ideas.
