I recently bought this pair of wheels and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about them. They are 15" x 5" with a steel rim and a cast aluminum center that is riveted in. The bolt pattern is 5 x 5 1/2". The back of the wheel says A&H Foundry, Los Angeles,California on one of the spokes, and Hollywood Wheel Disc on another spoke. I have never seen another wheel like these. Anyone?

There was recently a set of them on Ebay, the guy was calling them "Foxcraft" mags, and they had a little fox on the center cap.

I've seen them pop up on Ebay now and then, but don't know too much about them...

as far as i know they are "Hollywood" mag wheels, i ***ume by the hollywood accessory company.

i have a serious fetish for these wheels, i have about 8 of them sitting around, most in similar or slightly better shape than yours. like many of the other cheap wheels of the time, they are aluminum spokes attached to a chrome rim. they all seem to have rust! and of course once they rust there's not much you can do with them, practically impossible to rechrome them.

if you plan on selling them i may be interested. if anybody else has some REAL NICE ones i would most definately be interested!$$:D

Not sure about those specifically, but, ALOT of companies in the later 60's built their wheels with that method. I wonder if they could be successfully taken apart and restored.

Bolt circle is much to small for Empi's.

I've only seen them called "Hollywood" too. I imagine they were sold and resold under different names at different times. Seems like most of those wheel manufacturers went through "reorganization" a few times.

I am thinking of either taking the rivets out and re-chroming the wheels and replacing the rivets with bolts, or just painting the wheel part and leaving the aluminum center alone. I want to use them on my '47 Ford fenderless sedan that I am building.

Actually, these wheels are known as the Barela Wheel. They were produced by Hollywood Rim & Wheel in '64, Manufactured by A&H Foundry and designed by a young Salesian High School student who majored in Mechanical Design. He was granted a job with HRW when his design was chosen in a cl*** project. There were two designs to chose from.

My father is the person who designed the ones seen in the pictures and another design based of Radir wheels.
