Hi Y'all My name is Rob AKA: slowride 66. Don't let the nickname fool ya I have a pretty heavy led foot . I'm a domestic type of enthusiast..Pontiac ,Chevy ,Caddilac,Olds,Buick, Ford & even Mopars are cool to me for the most part.. maybe even a exotic or too not too much on the ricer part. I've been a member of this forum for a few months but I've been waiting for the right time to **** in ... I'm a member of HR.COM and a few others but Pontiac's have always beem my most favorite .. I just like their style the best. I've been interested in just about anything & everything that has wheels ,a motor & brakes for as long as I can remember. I was working @ the age of 13, I've worked Auto..body,repair,dismantling/recycling, marine/auto detailing , heavy equipment operation maintenance & repair and many, many more other occupations. My wife & I have 1/2 dozen vehicles in various stages of disrepair : 85 Chevy Suburban 3/4 ton (mine) SB350 4 bbl 80 Chevy ElCamino (hers) SB350 4 bbl .060 over 79 F-250 XLT Camper Special (mine) BB 460 4 bbl 77 F-150 XLT (mine) BB460 4 bbl 71 Buick Skylark (hers) 350 2 bbl 71 PONTIAC LeMANS (mine)400 4 bbl I've been disabled for going on 5 years now and I'm tring to get my own personal shop put together so I can supplement my income (which is zero @ present). My interests are cl***ic automotive restoration/customizing /technology & computers. I dont know JACK**** about computerized vehicles. I remember thinking that computers would not take off.. I laugh @ that statement too after I kick myself for ijnoring the subjuct for 20 years, so now Im tring to catch up. The only other thing I have to say about myself is I'm a toolaholic . I toyed with the idea of being a tool jobber but I did not have the Capitol to start that buisness and I probally wouldent let any one on the truck!!! I've posted some pictures of our stuff my poor old Pontiac I've owned since 1989 I've put over 300,000 miles on that car . it's been off the road for 6 years now waiting for a body donation. I fear the whole car might have to be replaced @ this point the body's in real bad shape . the odometer reads 356,000 and the ***le says "milage exceeds mechanical limits" I hope to make a sleeper out of it some day (with the six pack in the trunk). My 85 Chevy Suburban has also been off the road for over a year now (it need a new rear end ). I recently had to also take my 79 F 250 off the road that one has 350,000 miles on it (460 4 bbl) . I just resurected a 77 F 150 (you guessed it a gas saving 460 4bbl)I was going to swap the bodies around but I lack the shop and time and money to do it I look foward to conversing with all of you . Thanks jalopy 43 I used to have some old **** but I'm like a freakin nomad and havent found a place for my stuff yet I better hurry the **** up becuase 1/2 my life is overand im tired of screwing around I traded my 55 caddy for the motor in my LeMans and sold my 48 dodge P?U for $100 when I had to move to keep it from the press out of all the things Ive lost I miss my mind the most now IF I could win the lotto then things would get better everythings turning to rusty dust right before my eyes ,,,is rust a color? anyway keep in mind I worked for over a decade in the bone yards Ive most defi***ly killed more cars than I've fixed glad to be here SR66
