Wheel color & Wide whites

I'd like to get some opinions on my tire wheel combo. I had a fellow HAMBER photoshop this for me, I'm running with black wheels and blackwalls right now and want to know what you guys think about the wide whites and red wheels. I'm usually a "it's your car, do what you want" guy but I'm on the fence on this and I value the opinions on this board.

 

Wide Whites with the red steelies get my vote.

 

I like it both ways. I'd like to see it with the wide whites but keeping the wheels black.

 

I thought about that too, I don't photoshop so if someone can do that feel free.

 

I'm old school and still like wide whites and red steelies.

Most people relate red wheels with the RR movement but the red wheels were popular long before anyone heard of a rat rod. HRP

 

Red wheels are played out. Definitely wild whites but keep the black wheels or maybe body-colored wheels.

1/2 and 1/2..Black on black on driver side, red and whites on p***enger side, that way you can have it both ways...and see if anyone notices....LOL.....

I like the look of the red wheels and white walls.

 

Black wheels on whitewalls would be cool.

But surprisingly I think I prefer black on black

 

I vote black wheels and wide whites...

 

That combo sure looks good on yours. I picked red for the color because the grille bars and interior are red.

Red is played to death. Black wheels and wide whites gets my vote.

 

It's worth alot to me, I'm leaning that way myself and I didn't really consider that before, but now that I've seen it......

 

My vote goes to the black wheels,good balance with your black top.

I really like the black wheels with the wide whites, the red wheels seem to draw your attention from the car to the wheels.....

 

Tired of seeing red wheels. I like the black wheels with either the black walls or whitewalls just no red!!!

 

I think with the light color of the car that the black rims and black wall tires work the best.

 

I am with squablo on this one. I actually prefer black walls on most of my own cars, but this car is really upscale and wide whites go well with upscale.

I am not against red wheels, actually I can think of a mul***ude of colors for wheels red being rather high on my list, but I think that the wide whites with black wheels would be really sharp on this old car.

I could not make up my mind, and choosed both.

You do see only one side of the car, so hey, ... this is my result . . . .

Now that I see it in the picture, I'm definitely sold on the WWW's and black wheels. The red doesn't look bad, but between the two, I like the black wheels better, matches the top.

I like blackwall tires on a real stripped down 1940's style build, but this one with the full fenders and nice finished top seems like WWW's fit perfectly.

 

funny how people say red wheels are overdone but nobody says the same thing about wide whites except me.

black wheels and blackwalls gets my vote on your car.

I think both would look good on this car. I think the red wheels tie it all together though. It is all personal preference isn't it? A friend has a '29 sedan, semi gloss black with "sea foam" green wheels and wide whites. It looks cool. There's a lot of talk here about the red wheels and wide whites been done to death. Maybe so. I still like them. My preference.
