    thoughts are things

    squeaky wheel gets the grease

Oddly enough for the last year i have a vision of me picking up money on the sidewalk and within a week I find money, no joking.

I'd like someone to explain that!!

I had a vision while in new york and low and behold, found a $20.

I even had a vision that my wife would find money, told her and 4 days later she picks up a five.

If I would have been 2 minutes to late passing this guy, I wouldn't have this car. I have been looking for a 32 coupe for about 6 months, weird!

Cool story and good for you. I would build that car if it were mine. If the sub-rails are good, the rest is pretty easy. Talk about luck!

Last Fall I picked up 2 Model Ts that that were headed for the scrapper. My Brother-in-law lost 5 cars in a garage fire (none of them were insured) and had a scrapper haul them away. When the guy arrived to take the Ts I said to my Brother-in-law... you're not going to scrap the Ts are you? He said yup.... I jumped in and said I'd give him scrap price for them ($200) he said sure. I took them home and cleaned the burnt junk out of them and then listed them on Ford Barn and Craigslist. I got $1200 for the 23 T roadster pickup and sold the C-cab body for $250 and the chassis for $200. I gave my Brother-in-law another $400. He was happy, the three guys that bought the burnt Ts were happy, and I was really happy. Can't get much better than that.

It's too much of a chop for me, I think I may sell it.

I hope you don't take too much of a beating on the price when you sell it. ;)

It's not chopped too much, you're just too tall.

I believe it, because just today there was 2/3 of a model a coupe (no doors, deck lid) body headed to the scrap yard in Pomona. It was really rough, I didn't try to stop the guy.

  19. I guess I should start parking across the street from my scrapper to find my elusive Roadster! !!

Being that this is the end of the year, I wonder if people are cleaning out for new years resolutions. The guy I got mine from said he was tired of tripping over it for 20 years.

  22. You may need "therapy" (like the rest of us) but that was a good save/score! ;)

Well I decided to sell the scrap yard car to a local guy for $1100.

I hated to do it but I didn't want it to just sit around collecting dust AND I have been wanting a fully functioning running coupe instead.

    SOOOOO….

I have been doing some digging and found a bone stock 30 coupe thats been sitting in a barn in my home state of Montana fully functioning and drive-able with little to no rust for $3000. I called a few of my transport friends and got a quote of $300 and they can pick it up tomorrow.

I think this is meant to be for the simple fact that NO transport just happens to be in Montana on the day that I am thinking of buying a car and for that cheap.

I should have pictures tonight and have him paid and loaded tomorrow and at my house by end of the week.

I definately need therapy, FOMOCO THERAPY!!!!
