    Hi guys.

    I am going to sell my BF-Goodrich Lifesaver TA 205/75-15 Radial tires,
    and i am trying to find out how old the tires are.
    And here is the problem,
    If the tire is made before year 2000, the DOT code ends with 3 digits, Ex: 032 = the 3rd week of 1992 (or 1982 or 1972!)
    And if the tire is made after 2000 the DOT code ends with 4 digits, Ex:
    0312= March 2012.

    On my BF-G, the code is 1153, so its made in November 1953? thats not right, because if its made in 1953, it has to be a 3 digit code right?
    And if you turn it around, made 53 week in 2011? last i checked it was 52 weeks a year.

    i need help guys!

    Are you sure you got the rigth numbers off the tire? The date code is usually indented into the tire while other numbers are part of the mold and stick up from the face of the tire. Good luck.

    ...and fastcar1953's first link proved me wrong about the code being indented.
