My Effie has shaved door handles, and I am curious about emergency cables. I was just trying to get some ideas at to where people have mounted there, and if it would be an issue using a choke cable. Any help would be appreciated.

I picked up a bunch of jacketed cables (like bike brake cables) at a swap meet and am going to run one through the door conduit into the inner fender well with a little door to cover it from the elements.

I used universal motorcycle throttle cables and sheath , and ran them through the jambs to a bracket under the running board

It doesn't wear the sheathing out opening and closing the door all the time?

It was years ago, but I ran them like you would power window, or speaker wires though a conduit if I remember right

Thanks for the replies guys. I am skeptical of the shaved handles but I am going to try and mount the emergency cable somewhere I can access fairly easy in case I decide to use it regularly.
