Been lurking around for a little bit thought I should introduce myself before I start making posts and stuff haha!

I am from Utah, been into cars most of my life. I have owned a 68 chev pu, 72 Plymouth Scamp (still have it), 74 Nova, 8 or so Merkur XR4Ti, and my latest acquisition a 1952 Chevy Deluxe 2 Door Hardtop.

About 5 years ago I lost all interest to work on cars of any sort ofter some serious medical issues. After my Dad told me about this car he located out in the desert, about 2 years ago, it has been percolating in the back of my mind. It final burst into a full blown infection a couple months ago and I located the owners and got permission to go out and drag it home, and so the work begins. It feels good to have the bug again.

The car was out on the Arizona strip south of St. George about an hour and a half. I took a bunch of picks while I was loading it up, I will post them up later.

I also love the picture you took.. I set it as my desktop background. I have a 52 hardtop and I did a ground up restoration starting 5 years ago. It is finally in the paint shop. Looks like you have a ton of work to do with the sheetmetal. You will most likely have to replace all floors, quarters, inner and outer rockers, braces, door bottom inner and outer. Dont give up, there is a thousand parts to these cars and it takes a very long time to complete one. Any questions about this car let me know. I have researched and downloaded pictures, manuals, Part numbers and I have my own pics that I could send to you to help you out.

52hardtopbob, not sure how I missed your post! thanks, glad you like the photo, it's my background too. I definitely have a lot of work ahead, and yes you are right about all the sheet metal that needs attention, haha.

Welcome to the group. Good luck with the Chevy. If nothing else, that is a great photo. Hopefully someday you will have the "after" pictures.
