Technical '32 B pillars

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by halibrandsteve, Jan 10, 2014.

  1. Does anyone know if the dimensions of a Fordor B pillar are the same as a 5W? Would it technically "fit" to use in rebuilding a coupe? I know the Fordor front doors are close so thought the B pillar may be as well.

    Thanks,
    Steve

They probably could be used,,but 4 doors are hardly parts cars anymore. HRP

I don't have a 5W to measure, but the 4 dr post is longer. You have to chop the back of the 4dr for it to fit a 5W. I'll presume the latches will line up from the bottom up.

    I second this.

  6. There is a guy in Mn that was converting fordor sedans into five window coupes he would know for sure. I'm not sure what he used for the b-pillar. He was hand fabricating the quarters and many other parts before they started reproducing them. I'll pm you with his info.
