I'm sure this has been discussed to death on this site but........... I'm a new member. I have a good solid '50 Tudor sedan in which I plan to install a fatman stub/Mustang II suspension system. A healthy small block ford with either a T-5 or Tremec TKO transmission will be used.
    My Questions:
What long tube headers will work without interfering with the clutch linkage?
Is there a hydraulic throw-out bearing that will work?
How much does the stub lower the front of the car using stock mustang springs?
Will the stock radiator cool a small block?
    Thanks -- Chuck

1~you might have to do a custom install for proper fit to get the bends and clearance right.
    2~don't know
    3~not sure
4~and no...if you're doin' all those other changes i'd run a new radiator... plus the flathead rads. have the 2 outlets and inlets for the 2 water pumps...
    good luck...

jimmy and i put a 427 ford w/ 4speed, and factory long cast headers in a shoebox not to long ago. we used a wilwood master, and mcleod hydro. bearing. it work out very nice. we also did a fat man fab front end on it. it is a very nice kit.

I second that. Time to put your boots on and start lookin at some vans in the junk yard. Molester vans have always yielded nice radiators for this conversion.

Thanks for the responses. I thought the Hydraulic throw out was available and should solve any clearance problems.
I used a stock radiator in a 36 Ford with a sbf and it cooled with no problems. I will have to get out the tape measure and see what will fit. Summit lists some universal aluminum radiators that are reasonably priced - maybe one of those will work.
I will give fatman a call on the headers, they should know. -- Chuck
