Judging from the three rivets above the cowl I'd say it's a Es***. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=856794&highlight=28+29+es***
Not a Buick No lower cowl vents and Hood reveals in the cowl top. Arched door tops too. This is a Buick
its a 28 es***. while it looks similar to the 29 Hudson, the door belt line is not the same. 1928 Es*** below
Nope, belt line molding on this Hudson is completely different from the OP car. Now, look at the '28 Es***. Compare the belt line molding, especially as it moves from cowl to body
The ribs under the windshield frame are a giveaway, and a neat looking detail, too. It's a total oddball, but it's got potential to be something, if the price is right.
...Anybody notice the suicide doors??? (all four) Es***, all right. Sure would like to have been the guy that got away with those rare Es*** frame rails!
You guys are sharp! thanks for pointing out my errors. I think we are all correct (except for the Buick guess) 1928 Hudson Es*** Six Check out the rear doors? http://tenwheel.com/view/30747-1928_hudson_es***_six.html
Very cool, guys, I appreciate the help! I figured Hudson, but the Es*** pics pretty much cement the answer to my question. Now, I have to go check it out in person this week. Thanks again! What's cool, is I have the cowl lamps and a couple of other small parts for a '28 Es*** in my box of Hudson stuff!
I believe the Es*** cars all have steel structured bodies, whereas the Hudsons were wood structured. The body shown looks to be steel structured. Note: The Buicks do not have four suicide doors and the hinges are not the long style as one the Hudson/Es*** line.
